Virgo

The sweet and gentle virgin
Steps forth
On heels of quite splendor
Her hair, of pure sweet starlight,
Are a shield against the world.
Yet from afar,
Is that a cry?
Of pain and fear?
The maiden draws her sword of light
Brought forth
To slaughter and to fight,
All that dare to cause injury.
Silver tears,
Stain her immaculate face,
And drip,
Onto fatal wounds,
to expel death.
Her eyes shimmer,
With a mother's love.
Compassionate and protective,
She worries endlessly,
About her Children,
The sweet, vulnerable
Planets.
